2015 NFL Draft Will Include 'Draft Town' And Fan Festival

The 2015 NFL Draft is set for April 30 through May 2 in Chicago, Illinois. The NFL has announced a few additions to the usual draft tables and podium. They are planning on turning the city into “Draft Town.”

Besides the draft taking place in the historic Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, a fan festival and “Draft Town” will be at Grant Park and Congress Plaza, which will include a 900,000 square foot celebration of the draft.

The festival will include live music, food and drinks, free players’ autographs, interactive games, photo ops, and much more family-friendly fun.

The fun doesn’t stop there. The three-day event will also feature a 40-yard long LED screen in which fans can race NFL stars. There will also be flag-football games, youth clinics and combine-like competitions—vertical jump, cone drills and much more.

The event will also include a Super Bowl museum on site, and fans will have many opportunities to take pictures and enjoy their favorite team’s memorabilia.

Congress Plaza will turn into “Selection Square,” which will be the “epicenter of the draft,” officials said.

This is an effort from the league to create a family-friendly event for the draft, and even Buckingham Fountain will be lit up in the colors of the team that is on the clock.
