Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Johnny Manziel could be on the move. Despite Manziel being in rehab, reports say the second-year quarterback could be involved in a trade that would send him and a first-round pick to the Eagles, for recently acquired Sam Bradford.
The Eagles surprisingly traded Nick Foles to the Rams in exchange for Bradford in the offseason but the Eagles don’t seem to be done. According to that same report, both the Eagles and Browns are motivated for this trade to happen.
Apparently, the Browns were interested in Bradford as well and might have offered their first round pick but couldn’t get him. If the Eagles play it right, they could get that first round pick from the Browns and use it to get in the top four picks to take Marcus Mariota.
Eagles’ head coach Chip Kelly coached Mariota at Oregon State University and would love to have him as his quarterback in Philly. Kelly has made it clear that they will not jeopardize the future of their franchise just to get one player — Mariota — but again, Mariota could be the future of the franchise.
The draft is less than a month away and many rumors and questions continue to arise. All we can do is wait until April 30 to see what happens in Chicago.
