After something of a rocky start to the 2012 London Olympics, Michael Phelps has clearly found his groove.
A day after beating out Ryan Lochte for gold in the men's 200 IM, the greatest American swimmer of all time won Friday's 100-meter butterfly with a time of 51.21. Chad le Close of South Africa and Evgeny Korotyshkin of Russia won silver and bronze, respectively.
Phelps’ latest victory gave him his 21st overall medal and his 17th gold. Next, he’ll look to wrap up his amazing career with one final win in the 4x100 medley relay this Saturday.
