2012 NBA Schedule: Celtics, Heat, Knicks, Lakers, Nets and More Playing on Christmas Day
The NBA released its 2012-13 schedule on Thursday and, as usual, everyone skimmed ahead to see who had the misfortune of playing on Christmas Day.
Unsurprisingly, it’s all the usual suspects.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and New York Knicks will all be in action on the 25th which, while it admittedly sucks for the players, is great for all the fans out there who love having basketball on from 12:00 p.m. ET to midnight.
Here’s what’s on the agenda (all times eastern):
12:00 p.m. – Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets
Two teams that will look vastly different than they did when we last saw them. One of these squads will likely take on the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals when it’s all said and done.
3:00 p.m. – New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Lakers
How will Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant mesh? Will Pau Gasol experience a resurgence? Can Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd make everyone forget about Linsanity?
5:30 p.m. – Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat
Finals rematch. Enough said.
8:00 p.m. – Houston Rockets vs. Chicago Bulls
One team that spent its summer overpaying players and one team that spent its summer blowing up an otherwise solid roster. Worst game of the day.
10:30 p.m. – Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are absolutely loaded this season. The Nuggets are solid. Two teams with very legit depth. Perfect closeout game for a great slate of basketball games.
