The highly-anticipated NBA playoffs tip-off this weekend, and folks are already buzzing about some of the potentially amazing battles we could see on Saturday and Sunday. The Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers will all be in action – now it’s just a matter of sorting out matchups and seeding.
Here is what we know for certain at the moment:
Chicago, Miami and Indiana will all play on Saturday. Of those three squads, the only one that has its opponent already set is the Pacers – they’ll be taking on a Dwight Howard-less Magic unit. The Bulls and Heat will face either the Knicks or 76ers, but we won’t know which matchups we're getting until Thursday’s games conclude.
Meanwhile, Boston versus Atlanta is set for Sunday – but we still don’t know which team will have homecourt advantage. The Celtics locked up a No. 4 seed in the East by winning the Atlantic Division, but that doesn't guarantee anything.
The postseason picture will come completely into focus after everything wraps up tonight.
