The New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons are two teams that are going in very different directions. Whereas the latter group has been largely awful this year, the former has experienced a resurgence unlike anything anyone predicted before the season began. That said, given the fact that two of Detroit’s three wins have come against the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics, you can understand why folks were watching Sunday’s outing out of the corner of their eye.
Ultimately, the concern was for naught. New York dismantled the Pistons 121-100 behind a moderately efficient 29 points from Carmelo Anthony. Six Knicks players finished in double figures.
Brandon Knight led the way for Detroit with 21 points on eight-of-13 shooting.
