The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to win an NBA game this season. Over their past 10 outings, since acquiring Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, they are 0-10. You never want to sound the alarm this early in the year, but things are definitely not going according to plan for a team that was initially compared to The Avengers.
On Wednesday night, Kobe Bryant and Co. fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 116-106. (The game was never actually close.) Bryant finished with 30 points on 10-of-20 shooting; Dwight Howard racked up 33 points and 14 rebounds. Somehow, despite those monster stats from both guys, their squad was still awful.
Turnovers and porous defense will lose you games in this league. The faster L.A. realizes that, the better off they will be.
