Despite a valiant effort from O.J. Mayo, the Dallas Mavericks couldn’t hold off the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. When it was all said and done, thanks in large part to a monster 31-point showing by Stephen Curry, Golden State prevailed 105-101.
On top of his 31 points, Curry also recorded nine assists and six rebounds. Harrison Barnes and David Lee pitched in 20 points (plus 10 boards) and 17 points (plus 19 boards), respectively. No other Warriors players scored in double digits.
Meanwhile, as mentioned, Mayo did his best to keep the Mavericks in it with a relatively efficient 27 points (11-of-21), but he didn’t get much help from his teammates. Outside of Chris Kaman (18 points) and Troy Murphy (12 points), no other Dallas player scored more than nine points.
