2012 Fantasy Football Week 16 Adds: Sam Bradford, Beanie Wells, Greg Little and More

The 2012 fantasy football season is coming to a quick close. Most fantasy owners wrapped up their leagues in week 15, while a few are hanging around for a title game entering week 16. With that being the case, we’re here for one last look at the waiver wire in an effort to help any remaining fantasy owners.

Things start getting a bit tricker in week 16 with player’s time on the field for the teams that are already in the playoffs, but for the most part things should be as usual. However, injuries and roles can shake things up a bit, too. Let’s take a look at five hot waiver wire adds that could help smooth things out, and potentially even help you claim your league’s championship in week 16:

Sam Bradford, QB, St. Louis Rams (Available in 79% of leagues)

I know Russell Wilson is the hot name, but he faces the 49ers this week, and was terrible against them earlier this year. I’d rather plug Bradford, who is owned in less leagues, tore it up last week, and draws a weak Buccaneers pass defense in week 16.

Beanie Wells, RB, Arizona Cardinals (57%)

If the Cardinals keep running the ball and their defense keeps bailing them out, Wells should be able to help you. He faces a Bears defense that’s down in the dumps right now, so you never know what could happen. He’s coming off of a huge three-score game and should at least be in for a quality role in week 16.

Greg Little, WR, Cleveland Browns (75%)

Little isn’t a big-time game-breaker, but he’s turned back into a fairly reliable possession guy the last few weeks, with 13 catches since week 13. He could be in line for some more work with Champ Bailey likely trying to contain Josh Gordon in a week 16 matchup with the Broncos.

Dennis Pitta, TE, Baltimore Ravens (69%)

I fully believe that Pitta can be an every week fantasy tight end. It’s his quarterback and offense that have kept that from happening to this point. He brings inconsistency to the table, but Pitta was huge in week 15 and has been very solid for two weeks in a row. The Ravens will definitely need him against the Giants in week 16, so I’m expecting him to show up again.
