2011 Fantasy Football: NFL Week 14 Quick Hits

Start Em’ QB Phillip Rivers (SD) Projected 275 Passing Yards 2 TD 0 INT

Rivers finally has found his rhythm in the passing game. It took him three-fourths of the season, but he’s finally playing like he did last year. He’s facing a Buffalo team that is heading in the wrong direction, so expect a strong week from Rivers.

Sit Em’ QB Tim Tebow DEN Projected 60 Passing yards  30 Rushing yards 0 TD 1 INT

I have a feeling Tebow is going to have a heck of hard time figuring out the Bears defense. Chicago will force Tebow to rely on his arm, which isn’t a winning combo for his owners.

Start Em’ RB Shonn Greene NYJ  Projected 110 Total yards 1 TD

Shonn Greene went into beast mode last week finding the end zone three times. Now I wouldn’t necessarily expect a repeat performance, but 100-plus yards and a touchdown should be a guarantee.

Sit Em’ RB Peyton Hillis CLE  Projected 50 Total yards 0 TD

With Hillis having trouble staying on the field and the fact that he is facing a tough Steelers defense, there is absolutely no reason you should insert him into your starting lineup.

Start Em’ WR Santana Moss WAS 100 Receiving yards 1 TD

If the Colts’ Dan Orlovsky can carve up the Patriots pass defense, you got to believe the Redskins receiving corp can do the same with Moss leading the charge.

Sit Em’ WR Laurent Robinson DAL 30 Receiving yards 0 TD

With Robinson’s touchdown streak finally ending, not practicing due to a shoulder injury, and Miles Austin returning from injury, it looks like Robinson’s run of effectiveness has come to an end.

Start Em’ TE Tony Gonzalez ATL 85 receiving yards 1 TD

Gonzalez should get ample opportunities to find the end zone facing a weak Carolina defense. With their lack of secondary and linebacking corp, he should have plenty of room to roam.

Sit Em’ TE Todd Heap ARI 25 Receiving yards 0 TD

San Francisco’s defense is ridiculous right now. Arizona’s offense is struggling. Not a good combo.

Start Em’ DEF Chicago 7 Points Allowed 3 Sacks 2 TO

If there is one thing the Bears defense is good at, it’s stopping a running quarterback. Tebow should struggle mightily against a solid d-line and a super fast linebacking corp. I have a feeling the defense will have something to prove after last week.

Sit Em’ DEF Atlanta 30 Points Allowed 1 Sack 1 TO

The Falcons struggled mightily against Cam Newton in their first appearance. I don’t expect things to change the second time around.
