Forum Question: Which WR would you start in Week 12, Stevie Johnson (@NYJ) or Nate Burleson (vs.GB)?(view post by VladZlad)
FST_Brent: Last time Stevie played the Jets he posted 3 catches for over 80 yards, now of course he can throw up nothing vs Revis but at least he is the main target out there. Nate has to deal with Calvin and Titus young for catches
FST_Dustin: The Packers give up a ton of yards through the air, and Detroit will have to throw a lot to keep up with the Packers. I think you have to go with Burleson on this one.
FST_Mike: Johnson’s production has suffered lately largely in part to the poor performances of Ryan Fitzpatrick. I don’t see Fitzpatrick having a great game against the Jets, but he will have to rely on the pass more with Fred Jackson out. I think Burleson has a great matchup against the Packers and the Lions will likely have to air it out a lot to keep pace. I say go with the better matchup with Burleson.
Forum Question: Which RB would you start in Week 12, James Starks (@Det) or DeMarco Murray (vs.Mia)?(view post by Kimbonix)
FST_Brent: Not close in my mind – Murray is the play. If you think the down game was due to Jones at all – not the case as last week Murray had 30 touches and Jones had 7. Murray is the man for the Cowboys
FST_Dustin: I think Murray has a much bigger upside this week, especially with Starks banged up. Murray did have somewhat of a down week last week, but I still expect him to get a lot of touches.
FST_Mike: Starks may not even play, but even if he did I would still go with Murray. The Dolphins have been tough against the run lately but Murray is still a solid option this week.
Forum Question: Which WR would you start in Week 12, Laurent Robinson (vs.Mia) or Dez Bryant (vs.Mia)?(view post by Tourneypimp)
FST_Brent: I do not agree with these guys – I say go Dez, he his the most talented wideout on the team and Robinson has been good but that is because he has found the endzone in a few games in a row. I know that is a good thing but his TD last week was a broken play and Romo was not looking for him until the last second. I think his fluke TDs run out this week and would go Dez.
FST_Dustin: I think you go with Robinson. He has proven to be one of Romo’s favorite targets, and he has been consistently finding the end zone. Bryant does still have a huge upside, but he gets a lot of attention from the defense.
FST_Mike: Both are decent options this week with Miles Austin sitting out again, but I’d go with Bryant. Bryant obviously has a big-play potential averaging over 16 yards per reception and I think he is a decent bet to find the endzone for his third straight week.
Forum Question: Which RB would you start in Week 12, Shonn Greene (vs.Buf) or Kevin Smith (vs.GB)?(view post by Legolas)
FST_Brent: I think Smith is the play as well but partly because Joe McKnight could get some sneaky touches this week. I think he played pretty well last week and if Greene starts slow I could see him taking away a good deal of touches from him.
FST_Dustin: The reason I say Smith is because he gets involved in the passing game as well. I think he should rack up a hand full of catches, and I think he could end up over 100 yards total again this week. I think Greene could have an ok week, but Smith has a much bigger upside.
FST_Mike: I’d go with Smith. The Lions play the Packers and it could be a shoot out, which would actually be good for Smith since he’s also heavily involved on passing downs. Greene has a nice matchup against the Bills poor run defense, but I’d still rather take my chances with Smith.
Forum Question: Which WR would you start in Week 12, Mario Manningham (@NO) or Wes Welker (@Phi)?(view post by rhyster92)
FST_Brent: Not close in my mind – Welker is my pick. Welker has been seeing double coverage every play but I think things will start to loosen up soon as teams will start to roll coverage over to Gronk. Out of the two Gronk’s size gives him the chance to bull his way into the endzone every time he catches the ball. So Welker is the lesser of two for Ds. Better days are ahead for Welker – better days
FST_Dustin: Welker is coming off a very quite game, but you can’t lose faith. He is still the leading WR in the league, and he has a much bigger upside this week.
FST_Mike: After a poor performance last week, I think the Patriots will do whatever they can to get Welker more involved this week. Manningham is a decent start this week, but Welker has a much bigger upside.
