2011-12 NBA Schedule: Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers got about as lucky as you can get with the NBA’s new, condensed, 66-game 2011-12 schedule. All in all, new head coach Mike Brown and the rest of the team will probably count their blessings with 11 of the squad’s first 15 games taking place in Los Angeles. That’s the good news. The bad news, however, is that the team will have 17 total back-to-backs, and one back-to-back-to-back.
If you compare the Lakers’ schedule to that of the Boston Celtics, though, Kobe Bryant and Co. got off relatively free of major headaches.
Don’t forget, center Andrew Bynum will be suspended for the first five games of the year for his little incident with J.J. Barea in the playoffs last season.
