Homeless Man Gets $100K Reward For Spotting Fugitives

Homeless Man Awarded $100k For Turning In Escaped InmatesPosted by Opposing Views on Monday, March 21, 2016

This homeless man spotted two escaped inmates and turned them in to the police -- and now he's $100,000 richer because of it:

These 2 fugitives escaped from a Santa Ana jail in early January. Police gave up the statewide manhunt after several days and a reward of $150,000 was put on their heads. This week a homeless man spotted one of the men leaving McDonald’s. Matthew Hay-Chapman flagged down police and the men were arrested. Hay-Chapman's contribution to the capture landed him $100,000, which he will use to start a new life and support his children. Meanwhile, the fugitives are back behind bars.
