Conservative satirist Ami Horowitz recently asked students at Yale University if they would sign a fake petition to repeal the First Amendment, while being secretly filmed with a hidden camera (video below).
“I decided to take this campus free speech debate to its logical conclusion,” Horowitz told Fox News. “The result was this unbelievable display of total stupidity.”
"I think this is absolutely fantastic," one student says in the video. "I absolutely agree."
"Excellent, love it," a second student says.
"I appreciate what you're trying to do," a third student tells Horowitz.
At one point in the video, Horowitz pitches his farcical petition as a way to stop others from "making fun of people," reports The Daily Caller.
Horowitz's video ends with a caption saying that he collected 50 signatures on campus in under 60 minutes. However, it remains unclear if the students could have been tricked into signing something else, considering how heavily edited Horowitz's film is.
