Two women playing a boom box on a Spirit Airlines flight on March 9 got into a fight with three other women on the plane who complained about the loud music (video below).
Spirit Flight 141 was heading from Baltimore to Los Angeles when the fight broke out with punches and hair pulling, notes KTLA.
The passengers on the plane watched the brawl, and some pulled out their cellphones to film the bizarre incident that resembled a pro wrestling melee.
According to Spirit Airlines spokesman Paul Berry, several passengers asked the women to turn the music down, but the ladies refused to do so and said, “What are you going to do?” reports the Los Angeles Times.
“Then to provoke the other customer they were holding up their boom box in the air, waving it around,” Berry added.
At that point, the other women approached the duo and a fight broke out, Berry said.
Spirit Airlines said in a statement that the two passengers with the boom box "appeared to be intoxicated," according to NBC News.
Witness and passenger Emerson Silva told the "Tdoay" show: "They were throwing serious punches. The ladies -- they were serious."
Police at Los Angeles International Airport boarded the plane when it landed, before anyone got off.
Five women involved in a “mutual combat situation” were removed from the aircraft, LAX Police Officer Rob Pedregon stated.
FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said the feds were called in to investigate, but no one was arrested.
