Woman Arrested After Posting Nudes Of Ex's New Lover (Photo)

A Michigan woman is facing two felonies after uploading a nude photo of her romantic rival on Facebook.

Stephanie J. Knapp, 22, allegedly posted revealing photos of her ex-boyfriend's new lover, an unidentified 20-year-old female who was once her friend, MLive reports.

Knapp reportedly uploaded the photos in March and, in the middle of multiple comments, admitted she had the pictures on her cell phone.

The unnamed victim accused the woman of harassment and sent screenshots of the interaction to authorities as proof. She explained she had sent the naked photos to Knapp's ex.

When authorities contacted the man, he said his phone had been stolen at a party some time back. He had never been able to find it.

On Aug. 22, a warrant was issued for Knapp due to the Facebook post -- but it wasn't the only one she was facing. The woman also owed money on a previous domestic violence conviction.

Knapp will face a preliminary examination with District Judge Timothy J. Kelly Sept. 14. She could face up to six years behind bars for using a computer to commit a crime and unlawful posting of a message.

While authorities did not explicitly state what happened to the nude photos, it is likely they were removed. Facebook's Community Standards states that they prohibit users from posting images like these.

We remove photographs of people displaying genitals or focusing in on fully exposed buttocks. We also restrict some images of female breasts if they include the nipple, but we always allow photos of women actively engaged in breastfeeding or showing breasts with post-mastectomy scarring. We also allow photographs of paintings, sculptures, and other art that depicts nude figures. Restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also apply to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous, or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited. Descriptions of sexual acts that go into vivid detail may also be removed.
