A young white woman shared a letter from her father saying that he is “crushed” by her relationship with a black man.
Stephanie Hicks of Keller, Texas shared the harsh letter on Twitter to publicly shame her father for telling her that she has “disrespected her family in every way” by dating a man with a different skin color than her.
The father tells his daughter in the note that he will never “accept” or “forgive” her if she continues the relationship with her boyfriend.
“Mistakes can be forgiven, but you have willingly and consciously chosen a lifestyle of sickening choices and I won’t tolerate it,” the father wrote. “You have one final opportunity. Either end your relationship with ‘Nike,’ or face the consequences. There are three suitcases emptied and waiting.”
He continues to tell his daughter that if she chooses to stay with “this black kid,” she should pack the suitcases and leave.
Hicks shared the letter on Twitter with the caption, “Sad that it’s 2016 and skin color still matters.”
The man tells his daughter there is “nothing worse than a half-black,” referring to the children the couple may have together one day.
“I’m crushed that my own daughter has entered into such a disgusting relationship,” he says.
