A woman who was left with a parking ticket she couldn’t afford after someone stole her parking spot got a nice surprise.
When the unidentified woman found another vehicle in her residential parking spot, she decided not to have the car towed and just park somewhere else instead, Epoch Times reported. The decision cost her a parking ticket she could not afford.
The woman decided to leave a note on the stranger’s windshield, informing the driver of the consequences.
“Hey Stranger,” she wrote. “Because you were parked in my spot last night (and still are??), I got a ticket for street parking overnight w/out a permit. I’m broke. These are privately owned spots, and I could have you ticketed and towed. I won’t, but please don’t park in my spot again.”
The woman returned to her car later on and found an envelope under her windshield, Mad World News reported. In it was $100 and a note from the person who took her parking spot. The note read:
“First I would like to apologize for parking in your spot. It was irresponsible on my part and I would like to give this to you to pay for the ticket and whatever else you need. … [It] can be tough around this time of year. Merry Christmas.”
