A photo of a woman cleaning President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has gone viral.

"Stopped to clean [Donald Trump] Hollywood Star," tweeted the woman, Makenna Greenwald, attaching a picture. "Nothing but respect for MY President. #RaisedRight."

Her photo quickly drew the attention of thousands on social media. According to BuzzFeed, it received more than 200,000 likes and 50,000 retweets within four days.

The picture also captured the attention of the likes of conservative TV talk show host Sean Hannity and first son Eric Trump.

"Thank you Makenna! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain," Eric Trump tweeted.

Many also compared Greenwald's photo to those depicting people spitting on -- or otherwise trying to tarnish -- Trump's star.

"Can you spot the difference in attitude and composure?" tweeted one man, referring to a picture of a woman posing near the star while flipping off the camera. "Who seems mature? Who seems that could handle political conversation like an adult?"

But the response to Greenwald's picture wasn't all positive.

Some decided to lightheartedly poke fun at her tweet, sharing photos of themselves posing near random, sometimes unusual, stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Stopped to clean his star," wrote one woman smiling next to the Shrek star. "Nothing but respect for MY president. #raisedright."

"I stopped by to clean kermit the frog's hollywood star," tweeted another while posting her picture. "Nothing but respect for MY president."

"Stopped to clean Godzilla's Hollywood star," joked a third. "Nothing but RESPECT for MY president!"

Others were less amused and voiced their criticism of Greenwald's sentiments more directly.

Many found it hard to show respect for a president they consider disrespectful.

"I have nothing but respect for the millions of brave women and men in uniform that risk their lives to protect the rest of us, I have nothing but respect for those who work hard and never surrender even in the toughest times and for the ones who care for their families and their neighbors with unconditionally loving," wrote one BuzzFeed reader. "At the end of the day, respect is earned by our actions, that's why I can hardly feel respect for someone who hasn't been able to offer it to others."

"This is the same guy who mocked a handicapped man's disability....," noted another.

"It's a little obtuse to think you were "Raised Right" because you can clean," quipped a third. "My parents taught me to think for myself and to not be blindly follow anybody."
