Will Donald Trump Attend The Next Fox News Debate Moderated By Megyn Kelly? (Video)

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will attend the March 3 Fox News GOP debate that Megyn Kelly will be moderating in Detroit, Michigan.

“I’ll be there,” Trump told Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg. “I have no objection to being there. That had nothing to do with Megyn Kelly, the fact that I went out of the last one. That had to do with a memo that was sent out by Fox that was a little bit taunting and I said it was inappropriate.”

Trump did not attend the Jan. 28 Fox News GOP debate that took place just before the Iowa caucus, deciding instead to host a fundraiser for veterans.

He admits that his absence from that debate may have cost him a win in Iowa.

“That could’ve been with the debate,” Trump said of his second-place finish in Iowa, CNN reported. “I think some people were disappointed that I didn’t go into the debate.”

But Trump told Malzberg he does not regret his decision.

“What happened is, because I didn’t do [the debate], I raised $6 million for the vets so I wouldn’t have changed places, I mean, I did the right thing," Trump said.

Before Fox News's Kelly moderates the debate in March, Trump will attend the Feb. 6 ABC News GOP debate taking place just before the New Hampshire primary on Feb. 9, with fellow candidates former Gov. of Florida Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Gov. of New Jersey Chris Christie, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Gov. of Ohio John Kasich, and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, according to ABC News.
