A 2,000-horsepower Lamborghini is about as useful as a moped if you don’t know how to handle it. The people over at That Racing Channel learned this firsthand recently.
A YouTube video posted by the aforementioned channel shows a driver crashing a Lamborghini Gallardo into a lake during a top speed test run. This wasn’t just your average Gallardo, either. A stock Gallardo comes with roughly 550 horsepower. This one has 2,000.
The test run starts out fine, but the car loses traction at about 100 mph and spins out. Seconds later, the out-of-control car heads straight into a pond. Bummer. Of course, all of this begs the question: who stages a top speed test run next to a pond? That doesn't seem like the best idea in retrospect.
Luckily, the car doesn’t look like it was ruined from the accident. We’re sure there’s some costly water damage to fix, though.
