A "Wheel Of Fortune" contestant’s bizarre answers prompted many to believe she threw the game to let another contestant — a fellow military veteran — win the round (video below).
In a video of the suspicious moment, contestant Nura Fountano — who was playing alongside two fellow service members during Veterans Week on the popular game show — offers several strange letters in her effort to solve the puzzle, reports Fox 2 Now.
The puzzle was “Following Footprints,” but Fountano shouted letters such as “z” and “x,” even as the puzzle became closer to being solved.
Fountano ultimately won the game, despite losing the round. Many viewers speculated she threw the round on purpose to let a fellow veteran win money.
“Just saw the classiest move on 'Wheel of Fortune.' Nura threw the final puzzle to let a fellow military person win it. Much respect,” viewer Jeremy Pond wrote on Twitter.
