Victoria's Secret Model Tricked Into Making Video Endorsing Turkish Terrorist Group

Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima claims that she was tricked into making a cell phone video (below), which looked like an endorsement of the Grey Wolves, a terrorist group in Turkey.

In the video, the Brazilian beauty says, “bozkurtlar,” which means “wolves” in Turkish, makes a hand gesture and howls.

The Grey Wolves were behind an assassination attempt of Pope John Paul II in 1981, and have killed hundreds of people over the past 40 years in Turkey.

The video was placed on a Turkish website,, where it caused outrage, reports the New York Daily News.

Lima’s spokesman told the Daily Mail today that the model had been tricked:

The video was prompted and taped by a Turkish boxer who visited Adriana's local gym in Miami earlier this summer.

She was told the hand signal and call-out were the names of his local gym.

She was unaware of the wider context of what she was doing or its association to a political group.

Adriana has no affiliation to any political party in Turkey and unequivocally denies any implied association to these organizations.

She is personally disappointed that her good will was taken advantage of to create a video, released without her knowledge or consent, that upsets any community.
