Two-In-One Dessert: Here's How To Make Cheesecake Brownies (Video)

Here’s a simple recipe that brings two classic American desserts — brownies and cheesecake — into one mouth-watering cake.

The clip (below) shows you how to combine brownie batter (from a box or scratch) and cheesecake batter to make this delicious dessert.

According to Allrecipes, here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees before greasing a 9-inch square baking pan.

Next, combine the cream cheese, sugar and egg in a bowl. Stir a cup of chocolate chips into the cream cheese mixture and set aside.

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, then turn off the heat and place a heatproof bowl over it, combining butter with the rest of the chocolate chips. Stir until melted and blended together. Add remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 eggs, then sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; stir until evenly blended.

Pour half of the batter into the baking pan and spread the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate layer. Top with the rest of the chocolate mixture. Create a marble pattern with the top chocolate layer and cream cheese using a knife.

Bake in a 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Let it cool before cutting 12 to 16 squares. Put the dessert in the refrigerator and enjoy.
