A photo of a Fort Worth, Texas, man who built a train for his adopted stray dogs went viral (video below)

The photo, taken by resident Tiffany Johnson, garnered more than 50,000 shares since it was originally posted.

“This is the coolest guy he rescues stray dogs and every morning he takes them for a train ride by our building, i finally got the courage up to ask if I could take his pic!” Johnson wrote alongside the photo. "Love this and had to share!”

Eugene Bostick and his brother, Corky, have been taking in stray dogs for three decades. The idea of a dog train began after the duo started taking care of strays that were nearing the ends of their lives.

“One day I was out and I seen this guy with a tractor who attached these carts to pull rocks. I thought, ‘Dang, that would do for a dog train.’ I’m a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes cut in them, and put wheels under them and tied them together,” 80-year-old Bostick said.

He then attached the eight train cars to his tractor, which he uses to drive the dogs around his neighborhood. Bostick said the dogs get "so excited" about rides on the train, and maintained that he intended on doing it for them as long as he could

Johnson created a GoFundMe page to help raise money for Bostick to care for the dogs.

“This sweet man rescues dogs from the streets, by taking him into his home, feeding them, taking them to the vet, and loving them!” she wrote on the page.

“He has been giving to these dogs for so many years so let’s give back to him by helping him with the expenses it requires to take care of these fabulous furry babies!!!”
