Tensions Rise After Bobby Brown's Sister Allegedly Hit Cousin In The Head With A Bottle

Tensions in Bobby Brown’s immediate and extended family may be on the rise as his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, remains in a coma in an Atlanta hospital.

The Brown family gathered in Atlanta this week to support and visit Bobbi Kristina. Last weekend, the 21-year-old daughter of singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home. Bobbi Kristina’s partner, Nick Gordon, and a friend reportedly discovered in her home unconscious last weekend and performed CPR.

She is now in a medically induced coma at Emory University Hospital.

As family members gathered to spend time with Bobbi Kristina, two cousins reportedly fought while at a family dinner.

Bobby’s sister hit her cousin with a bottle after going to a party of close friends and family to honor Bobby’s 46th birthday on Feb. 5, reports say.

Tina Brown hit Shayne Brown in the head with a bottle at the W Atlanta - Midtown hotel, according to the Atlanta Police Department. Shayne then drove himself to nearby hospital and received treatment for lacerations to his head.

While police officials said they do not know the motive at this time, TMZ reported the fight started when Shayne called Tina a "crackhead." According to reports, Tina then spat in his face and struck him with the bottle.

On Feb. 3, a lawyer representing the Brown family said his firm was planning to investigate the events leading to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina.

Gordon and the Brown family have had a reportedly rocky relationship since January 2014 when Bobbi Kristina and Gordon unexpectedly announced they had wed. Bobbi Kristina proceeded to post picture of their "wedding rings" on social media.

“To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon,” said Christopher Brown, a lawyer at Brown & Rosen LLC.

Despite reports saying Bobby decided to take his daughter off life support, the Brown family said it is not preparing to say its final goodbyes.

A statement from the Brown family said, "(Bobbi Kristina is) fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family."
