Boston Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts thought he made an amazing catch on July 28, but it was not to be (video below).
Betts caught a ball hit by Chicago White Sox player Jose Abreu, and then tumbled over the right-center wall during the sixth inning.
Abreu was originally called out by the umpires, but the White Sox challenged the call.
The umpires reviewed the play, ruled that Betts dropped the ball and awarded Abreu a home run, notes MassLive.com.
Betts had to leave the game, was checked for a concussion, and the White Sox ended up winning 9-4, reports NESN.com.
