A professional female stunt driver took men for a ride in a 2015 Ford Mustang during blind dates, as part of Ford Motor Company’s new publicity campaign for the car.
In video footage of the prank, Prestin Person meets several men separately at a coffee shop in Dallas and plays the dumb blonde. Each of the men chat about typical first date small-talk and describe themselves as “well-rounded” or “very adventurous."
After the date, Person offers the men a ride home in her brand new Mustang GT, which she falsely admits she can’t drive. One man offers condescendingly to drive the stick shift for her.
“Let me drive it,” one man said. “I’ll show you what this thing can do.”
As Person drives, she asks the men what they like to do for fun during the weekend. One man lists outdoor activities, while another tries to impress her with his knowledge of theater. Finally, she drives into an empty lot and claims she’s going to turn around. Instead, she begins a number of stunts until her tires smoke.
“Oh yeah baby. That’s what I’m talking about!” one man said.
After the ride, many of the men are impressed. Person points to the hidden cameras in the car and explains the drive was a campaign set up by Ford for Valentine’s Day.
The video has been viewed nearly 3 million times.
