Is That Cocaine In Kim Kardashian's Snapchat Picture? (Photos)

Report: Kim Kardashian, Kanye West May Be Separating Promo Image

Kim Kardashian West did her best to quash cocaine use rumors after an eagle-eyed Twitter user spotted lines of white powder on her bathroom counter, but a number of people don't believe her side of the story.

"I do not play with rumors like this so I'm gonna shut it down real quick," Kardashian West tweeted on July 11. "That's sugar from our candy mess from [Dylan's Candy Bar in Los Angeles]."

It all started with a tweet earlier in the day, where one of Kardashian West's followers posted a still from the reality TV star and makeup trend setter's social media channel.

"Ohhhhhh [Kim Kardashian West] caught out with cocaine," she captioned the image. "Durtayyyyy."

The Twitter user said later that she was just joking, but social media users couldn't unsee it -- in fact, the majority of people who responded in a very unscientific Twitter poll on the same thread thought the substance was indeed drugs and not sweets.

"Hahaa who racks up sugar sweets in their bathroom," one person responded.

Another simply said, "nah it's coke."

"um [they are] kardashians what do u really expect from [them] by now?" one Twitter user wrote.

A number of people jumped to Kardashian West's defense.

"Stupid to think she'd do that especially with her kids there," one follower responded.

Another asked, "why would she snapchat with coke in her background?" to which somebody else cheekily responded, "People on drugs aren't known for great decision making."

"Dude she said it was her kid's sugar," wrote one social media user. "Isn't that how YOU teach kids how to cut coke?"

The 36-year-old mom has spoken out in the past about her thoughts on substance use and told Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" in 2010 that she had "never been a drinker" or "gotten into drugs," notes the Daily Mail.

"I have such a close family," she told the talk show host at the time. "I think my sisters do enough drinking to kind of fill up the whole family. … From a young age, my dad made it very clear that, 'OK, you're the responsible one and you have to watch your sister, and [he] taught me how to drive when I was 14 in case my sister or her friends were going to be drinking and I always had permission to drive."

Kardashian West went on to say that her late father, famous attorney Robert Kardashian, imposed strict rules on her when she went out and made her call him regularly with updates.

"I always felt this sense of pride that he had in me that I was the responsible one so I always wanted to make him proud," she added. "And I hate the taste of alcohol."
