The wife of a late Indiana deputy shared heartwarming photos of her 8-month-old son wearing his father’s badge.
Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz was shot while serving an arrest warrant during an overnight shift on March 20, Fox 59. He died from his injuries after being taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Carl’s wife, Kassandra Koontz, shared photos of their 8-month-old son Noah wearing his dad’s badge on her Facebook page March 22 to “lighten the mood a little.”
The photos have just started to go viral.
Kassandra and Carl had been married for three years, according to Fox 59.
Carl was described as a family man who was loved by his community.
