Reality television personality Kourtney Kardashian is making news after being seen with a suspected hickey.
On Jan. 9, the 38-year-old co-star of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" was photographed leaving a restaurant in Tarzana, California, reports Inquisitr.
She had just finished having lunch with sisters Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian, who also star on the family reality show.
When the website Radar Online published the photos, social media was quickly buzzing with commentary from her fans regarding the suspicious spot on her neck.
In the photos, Kourtney is sporting sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt, with her long black hair pulled back in a ponytail, revealing her neck for all to see.
A hickey is a temporary red mark on the skin, commonly the neck, where someone has sucked or bitten it as a sexual act.
Although she has been publicly amorous with her boyfriend, 24-year-old model Younes Bendjima, some fans criticized her for apparently engaging in an act such as that.
One person said "she knew she would be photographed" and could have "covered that mark up easily," had she wanted to.
Another commented issued a more general statement, asserting that hickeys look "horrible on teenagers but even nastier on adults."
One teenager who got famous for his horrible hickeys is Micah Musser of Kentucky, who was called "The Hickey King" after his hickey-laden mugshot went viral in June 2017, reports The Smoking Gun.
Musser was arrested for criminal trespassing and unlawful transaction with a minor after reportedly getting caught in an abandoned building with some juvenile runaways and large number of empty alcohol containers.
All hickeys aside, Kourtney and Bendjima are reportedly considering getting married, and it has been rumored that they're planning a secret wedding at a friend's place in Punta Mita, Mexico.
Kourtney allegedly "doesn't want the fanfare of a traditional Kardashian wedding," with no cameras allowed, which would be a first at any event involving her family.
She is also reportedly eager to have a child with Bendjima, but is waiting for her pregnant sisters to have their babies first. Kourtney has three children from her previous relationship with actor Scott Disick.
Khloe Kardashian and her NBA star boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, are expecting.
The Kardashian sisters' half sister, Kylie Jenner, is also reportedly pregnant by rapper boyfriend Travis Scott.
Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West will soon be welcoming a new baby via surrogate.
