A pregnant Southern California Instagram fitness star recently had her account taken down after posting a "sexually suggestive" video on the social media site.
Brittany Perille Yobe has over 922,000 followers who look to her for fitness inspiration on how to get a nicer booty, according to KABC.
But a recent exercise tutorial where Yobe is seen wearing leggings, a sports bra and showing her bare pregnant stomach caused Instagram to disable her account on Oct. 19, reports Cosmopolitan.
“Yes I am Biggg and Well Aware … but to be honest I truly do not care. I have debated sharing this video of my big bare belly in full workout mode because of body shaming comments that I am sure will come,” she originally captioned.
“Ultimately, this wasn’t a great enough reason to keep me from sharing and empowering women to love their bodies through each stage of their fitness journeys. Six pack or big belly I still hustle”
She is expecting her first child -- a boy -- in February.
"We disable accounts that post content that is sexually suggestive or contains nudity," the social media site replied to her.
Yobe explained to KABC via Skype what had happened:
I posted videos of myself working out in a sports bra and leggings for two years now, in the gym, with a six pack and in great shape. All of the sudden when I post my being pregnant working out in the gym in a sports bra and leggings - it's all of the sudden flagged and Instagram, I guess, can't handle it.
On the night of Oct. 24, her account was reinstated.
"All I was doing in the video was working out like I’d done in all the other workout videos I have posted for years. There was nothing out of the ordinary in this one besides my bump,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I am certain I am not the only woman who has been shut down for posting pictures and videos of a child growing inside my belly.”
