Former first lady Michelle Obama is thoroughly being spoiled by her biggest fan, who is none other than her husband, the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama. It is quite evident the two enjoy each other's company to the core and are, in true terms, soul mates.
The former first lady created a buzz and took the internet by storm when she showed off the loving nature of her husband, who still showers her with affection. She shared a picture of the beautiful flowers and card that she had received from Barack Obama.
Michelle Obama went on to thank her husband on Twitter, "Thank you [Barack Obama] for the beautiful flowers waiting for me in the office this morning."
"You're my best friend, biggest fan, and getting notes and flowers from you will never get old," she continued. The card was addressed to "Miche," a sweet nickname, and signed, "Happy birthday, B."
Michelle Obama also went on to thank all of her fans for wishing her a happy birthday. "And to the many people from around the country who sent cards and posted on social media, you have no idea how much we love hearing from you," she added.
"I know birthdays can sometimes be bittersweet (54!), but your messages of hope, generosity, and warmth have always reminded me how lucky and blessed we are," she said to her fans.
Former president Barack Obama marked his wife's 54th birthday by posting a sweet photo on his Instagram. "You're not only my wife and the mother of my children, you're my best friend," he captioned on a photo of them from a few years ago.
"I love your strength, your grace, and your determination. And I love you more each day. Happy Birthday, [Michelle Obama]," he added on the stunning throwback picture of the pair that he posted.
Both the posts served as "relationship goals" and went on to melt millions of hearts.
One admirer of the pair even commented on Barack Obama's post that, "The way he looks at her." Another exclaimed, "My favorite couple!"
The couple has been together for almost 25 years and they have become a household name. At the age of 28, Barack Obama met Michelle Robinson at the law firm Sidley Austin LLP, when Michelle was assigned as a mentor to Barack.
Soon after they started dating, the pair got engaged in 1991 in a simple, elegant way. The pair married on October 3, 1992.
In 2008, Barack Obama was elected as the president and Michelle played an enormous role in it. Barack Obama once even joked about how he was more loved for being Michelle's husband than for being the president.
"If you were going to list the 100 most popular things I have done as president, being married to Michelle Obama is No. 1," said Barack Obama during a State of the Union address in 2010.
The romantic saga of the pair continues with Michelle Obama's 54th birthday, during which she's being pampered by her "biggest fan" and "best friend."
