'Wheel Of Fortune' Player Stuns Viewers With Epic Gaffe (Video)

A contestant vying to win on an episode of "Wheel of Fortune" made a stunning gaffe as his final answer, despite having only one letter to fill (video below).

The player, only known to the audience as Kevin, had to fill in the letter to the title of the well-known movie: "A Streetcar Na_ed Desire."

He had just finished his turn and guessed the letter "C" in the title, which was correct, reports the Daily Mail.

The last letter missing in the title was, to everyone but Kevin, the letter "M" for "Named" but Kevin did not give that answer.

The contestant, whose winning rounds earned him $1,600 up to that point, spun the wheel for $600 more, and instead offered the letter "K" to spell the word "Naked."

The host of the show, Pat Sajak, shocked by the answer, replied he lost the round and then moved on to the next contestant, Lisa.

She gave the correct answer which bumped her total to $1,000. After her round, Sajak asked for Kevin's missed answer to be replayed.

"Well, funny little game ... And although you got the right answer, I'd rather see Kevin's play," Sajak commented as Kevin, embarrassed, laughed as he stood next to him.

The full title of the movie is "A Streetcar Named Desire" -- the 1951 film based on the award-winning Tennessee Williams' play of the same name.

The plot centers on the story of Blanche Dubois, who after suffering some major personal setbacks, is forced to abandon her life of comfort to go live with her sister and brother-in-law in a run-down New Orleans tenement. The movie won four Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Vivien Leigh.

His mistake was much talked about on social media.

"Dude on Wheel of Fortune had to solve this: A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE He asked for a K," said one Twitter user. "I'm gonna go lie down."

"Nothing's funnier to me than Wheel of Fortune fails," tweeted another, reports Time. "Unlike Jeopardy it's literally spelled out for you."

"Dude on Wheel of Fortune just thought the play was called 'A Streetcar Naked Desire,'" commented another. "This is the highlight of my sick day."

"Is anyone watching #WheelofFortune tonight?" another Twitter user wondered, reported The Huffington Post. "Kevin might be the worst contestant ever."

Another Twitter user commented: "Contestant on wheel of fortune just tried to solve the puzzle with 'streetcar naKed desire" and I want to die for him."
