It might have been fate that brought one couple together.

That's what many worldwide think after Verona Koliqi and fiance Mirand Buzaku stumbled upon a shocking find.

Perusing old family photos with his fiancee, Buzaku was flabbergasted when he spotted a familiar figure photobombing Koliqi's childhood beach photo: himself.

"He said, 'Hold up, I think that's me!" Koliqi recalls, reports Yahoo Lifestyle. "We both looked at each other and said, 'No way, that can't be true.'"

But after looking closer at the photo, it clearly was.

A young Koliqi sat posing on a beach in Montenegro with members of her family, while her future husband, Buzaku, was lying on a on a yellow inflatable in the background.

At the time, Koliqi was visiting Montenegro from London, while Bukazu was vacationing from Kosovo.

The photo was taken 10 years before Koliqi met Bukazu while visiting her homeland, Kosovo.

"I never knew something like this could happen, even though I've heard a saying: 'You will have passed your soulmate at least once before you actually meet up,'" a stunned Koliqi remarked.

After Koliqi shared the photo on her Instagram, the world was also amazed. In less than two weeks, over 31,000 people liked it and hundreds commented.

"It's wonderful and no coincidence," wrote one Instagram user echoing the sentiments of many. "You're meant to be!"

Others weren't as surprised. After all, they'd experienced similar coincidences.

"A relationship which is pre-planned spiritually will often reveal an earlier link," said one person in the Daily Mail's comments section. "I was meant to meet the man I love, and eventually we did, but there were two occasions earlier in our lives where we had been a) in a ski lift in Switzerland, and b) in next door rooms years later! There are no accidents, and it's a like a comforting feeling to know that!"

It's not the first time a couple was unknowingly photographed together years before they would meet, reports HuffPost.

A week before her wedding, Donna Voutsinas was looking through family photos with now-husband Alex when they paused on one: Donna's Disney World family photo taken when they were small children.

The couple recalls seeing a familiar man pushing a stroller in the background before it dawned on them: the child inside was Alex.

"It just blew our minds when we realized," Alex remembers.

Even more amazing, the two were visiting Disney World from different countries but somehow wound up together anyway.
