Former first daughter Malia Obama's rumored boyfriend allegedly follows President Donald Trump on Twitter.
The move raised eyebrows given 19-year-old Rory Farquharson does not follow Malia's father, former President Barack Obama, the Daily Mail reports.
What's more, Farquharson -- whose father is a banker and mother is an accountant -- predominantly follows banking-related accounts, reports The Telegraph. That made his Trump addition stand out even more.
But there's a possibility it doesn't mean anything. While Farquharson may follow Trump's tweets, he doesn't seem to subscribe to his politics.
Farquharson recently tweeted an article critical of Trump and the populism that won him the presidency, according to Celebrity Insider.
Farquharson, who is British, captured headlines after he was photographed kissing fellow Harvard student, Malia Obama, on Nov. 18.
Since then, the world has been left wondering who Malia Obama's rumored boyfriend is.
So far, it's been revealed Farquharson's father, Charles, is the CEO of the London-based Insight Investment Management Limited, while his mother, Catherine, is an accountant.
While his career ambitions are unknown, the young man spent the summer as an intern with the Centre for Democracy and Peace Building in Northern Ireland, where he reportedly impressed colleagues.
"It's been an absolute delight and pleasure to have this exceptional student [Rory Farquharson] from [Harvard] spend this week with us in Belfast," tweeted a Centre for Democracy and Peace Building in Northern Ireland employee.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Farquharson also seems to be athletically gifted.
The young man represented his boarding school in both golf and rugby before attending Harvard. He even appeared in a rugby clip that was played at the 2015 World Cup opening ceremony attended by Britain's Prince Harry.
Barack and Michelle Obama have yet to confirm whether Farquharson and Malia Obama are dating.
The former president did tell the media in November 2016 both of his girls had already started seeing boys.
From that November 2016 interview, it's fair to conclude Farquharson is likely a good guy.
After all, Barack Obama certainly trusts his daughters know how to find quality men.
"[Michelle's] taught -- she’s such a great example of how she carries herself, her self-esteem, not depending on boys to validate how you look or you know, not letting yourself be judged by anything other than your character and intelligence," Barack Obama said. "And hopefully I’ve been a good example regarding how I’ve shown respect to my wife. So I don’t worry about it because they’re really solid, smart girls -- young ladies, now."
Even if their judgment fails, Barack Obama says he's still not worried.
"They've had Secret Service," added the former president. "There's only so much these guys can do."
