A Tennessee woman’s rant on ladies wearing leggings as pants has gone viral (video below).
Jamie Higdon Randolph was on her way to buy a new pair of leggings when she decided to make a video explaining the proper way to wear them, Fox 8 News reports.
In her video, entitled “Leggings ain’t pants,” Randolph admits that she loves to wear leggings, but she is not so sure other people know how to wear them appropriately.
“Ladies, it’s pretty much legging weather,” Randolph says in the video. “I love legging weather. I don’t care if you don’t like leggings, don’t judge me, they are comfortable.
“They don’t cut into you, they’re always the right length. You can dress them up, dress them down, you can look like a frat girl or you can look pretty classy in them depending on what you choose to pair with them.”
That’s when Randolph shared some invaluable advice on the fundamental do’s and dont’s of wearing leggings.
“Some of you people like to use leggings as britches, as pants, pants,” she says. “That’s not how they’re supposed to be worn.
“If you can’t wear a shirt that covers your tail so that I can’t tell that you got some Aztec-print thongs on, you don’t need to be wearing ’em.”
Randolph added that if we can see your tattoos through your leggings, they are too tight and “shouldn’t be worn, period.”
“That’s called pantyhose, honey,” she says. White leggings are also a “big ol’ no-no,” according to Randolph.
The video has been viewed more than 13 million times on Facebook.
