Kris Jenner was reportedly hurt in a car accident that occurred when her vehicle collided with a hybrid that ran a red light.
Jenner, 60, the matriarch of the Kardashian family, told E Online that she was shaken up from the crash and that her hand “hurts” as a result. The accident happened when Jenner, driving in her white Rolls-Royce, collided with a Prius.
A source close to the family said that the Prius ran a red light, though a law enforcement official said that the Prius cut in front of Jenner while attempting to get on the 101 freeway.
Jenner was heading westbound on Calabasas Road, near her Los Angeles home, when the collision occurred. Minutes later, her 18-year-old daughter, Kylie, rushed to the scene along with the Kris' boyfriend, Corey Gamble, her daughter, Khloe Kardashian, and son-in-law, Kanye West. The family was pictured with worried looks on their faces as they arrived at the scene of the crash.
TMZ was the first to report the incident, and revealed that Kris might have suffered a broken wrist as a result.
“I was not involved in the accident. Everything's okay,” Kylie tweeted, after word got out about the crash.
“It was just my mom. My moms cars. I rushed to the scene to be by her side because she was alone,” she wrote in another tweet, People reported.
The Rolls-Royce that Kris was driving was just a week old, TMZ reported. The reality star’s alleged broken wrist was the result of the airbag deploying at the moment of the collision.
Readers criticized reports of the story, blasting the media for not reporting on the condition of the other driver.
“So what about the other driver? no one seems to give a **** about the welfare of the other driver….” one reader commented on E Online.
