Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is reportedly touching off a new trend: pierced nails.
Kardashian, 36, recently posted a video to Snapchat in which she shows off the unusual fashion accessory. As the Daily Mail and other websites point out, the nails are fake, but each one has at least two gold-colored hoops dangling from it.
The trend appears to have already gained some traction on social media, with several Instagram users posting images of their pierced nails, according to The Huffington Post.
In other news, a French newspaper recently published a transcript of Kardashian's verbal statement to French police following her robbery in Paris in October 2016.
According to the transcript, two hooded men with jackets that said "Police" on them entered Kardashian's hotel room around 3 a.m., E! News reports.
The men took her phone at gunpoint and asked where a $4 million ring was. They proceeded to push her onto the bed before ransacking her room. When they were finished they tied her up and locked her in the bathroom, making off with her iPhone, Blackberry and jewelry worth millions of dollars.
French police have since arrested 17 people in connection with the robbery, according to E! News. Four of them -- including the brother of Kardashian's limo driver in Paris -- have been charged.
