When it comes to the Kardashians, Khloe is the one sister who seems too often be left behind. Not only are Kim and Kourtney and Kendall all superstars in their own right, Khloe just can’t seem to say the right thing when she logs onto social media. And according to a BuzzFeed post slamming her for a recent remark she made on Instagram, “Khloe Kardashian isn’t exactly having the best time on social media right now.”
Not only had she recently encouraged people to love their “racist neighbor, but” she also shamed a fan for needing to work hard to earn her clothing. Although people have started to forget about this transgression which exhibits her tendencies toward one race over the other, she didn’t hesitate to stir the pot again with another post that left her fans flabbergasted – and quick to unfollow her and go spend their time with one of her other sisters.
One fan was super eager to buy Khloe’s new pair of Good American jeans. In order to pay the extremely high price for the relatively simple design, fan Kaelynn Abner wrote, “So, I realized I have to work 20 hours in order to afford Khloe Kardashian jeans, and I’m in love with them, catch me picking up extra shifts!”
Because this fan needed to work extra hard to get the clothes that Khloe put out under her name, she was proud – and figured that celebrity would appreciate all the work she’s putting in to support her fashion endeavor.
Wrong! Khloe Kardashian decided to shame the fan for not having enough money to buy the jeans without working simply.
“Awwww this is so cute!” Khloe wrote.
People immediately picked up on the condescending tone and downright lack of empathy in it. Because she has millions of dollars to her name, Khloe simply cannot understand the struggle this young fan has to go through to pick up one piece of clothing. Instead, she finds her toil “cute.”
People quickly jumped in to defend the fan and offer their criticisms of Khloe.
“Not to sound like a hater but this actually upsets me! Someone had to work a stupid amount of hours to afford ONE pair of jeans. A millionaire thinks it’s ‘cute’ that people have to calculate and think how many hours they have to work to afford little things.”
Another person agreed, writing: “Sick. She doesn’t even realize how tone deaf this is because she’s been rich her whole life. ‘Being poor is so cute!’”
Because Khloe Kardashian found the toil and strife of the lower class to be “cute,” people quickly realized that she was a phony trying to use her celebrity power to squeeze every dollar from her “fans” before they realized what was happening.
Before long, a tweet was posted that showed Paris Hilton wearing a tank top that read, “Stop being poor.”
Before long, Twitter turned Khloe Kardashian’s fail into a meme. One fan wrote,
“Fan: I had to work 85 hours this week and take out a second mortgage on my house in order to afford a single pant leg from your new jean collection.”
How do you think the Kardashian will recover?
