Kelly Clarkson made a young girl’s dream come true when she sang karaoke alongside the Nashville resident on Tuesday night. The 10-year-old girl's mother posted a video of the karaoke session on Twitter (video shown below).
The girl, Ava Davis, apparently saw Clarkson during a karaoke session and invited the pop star to sing onstage for a duet.
“Kelly was singing with a family member and having a good time and that’s when Ava thought she’d ask Kelly to sing with her this time,” Angie Davis, Ava's mom, told Ram Country.
Clarkson accepted and the two of them sang B-52’s “Love Shack,” despite Clarkson’s hesitancy about knowing all of the lyrics.
“It was awesome,” Davis said. “Kelly was so gracious.”
Clarkson signed a t-shirt for Ava after their performance, which brought the girl to tears of happiness.
The American Idol star has made Nashville her home with her husband Brandon Blackstock and 8-month-old baby girl River Rose. Clarkson is reportedly writing a country album.
