"Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon dressed up as Donald Trump and talked to his mirror image, the real Donald Trump, at the beginning of the program this evening (video below).
Fallon (as Trump) prepped himself for his interview with Jimmy Fallon by asking the real Trump how he was going to create jobs, and Trump replied, "I'm just gonna do it," notes Mashable.
"Right, but how?' Fallon asked.
"By doing it," Trump said. "It just happens. Just by doing it."
"Genius!" Fallon fired back. "You, and, therefore me, are geniuses."
Fallon asked Trump how he was going to get Mexico to build a border wall, but Trump tossed the question back.
"How am I going to get Mexico to build the wall?" Fallon told Trump. "Easy I'll challenge them to the biggest game of Jenga ever. I'll make them set up the board and then when they finish, I'll say, 'I don't want to play anymore.'"
"You want to know something? That's genius," Trump replied.
Later, during their normal interview, Entertainment Weekly notes that Fallon told Trump:
I’m a comedian, I come out here every night, I have to make jokes about everybody. I gotta say, probably eight months ago if I said your name as running for president, it would get a laugh. And then all of a sudden, you started seeing a switch.
