The late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" aired a segment on Feb. 2 featuring an actor dressed like Jesus reciting actual quotes by presidential candidates (video below).
"God is a very important part of this primary election," Kimmel said during the set up. "Most all of the candidates go out of their way to talk about the Bible, and their faith."
"Jesus" quoted the candidates as saying:
"The fact is that we need appropriate vetting. And I don't think that orphans under five should be admitted into the United States of America at this point."
"You don't stop bad guys by taking away our guns. You stop bad guys by using our guns."
"I would bomb the s--- out of them. Just bomb those suckers."
"The other thing is, with the terrorists, you have to take out their families."
"I'll take the votes of everyone who likes machine guns and bacon."
The candidates were not identified, but RawStory.com recognized some of the quotes as coming from Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and also from Donald Trump.
AddictingInfo.org reports that some of the other quotes came from Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.
