What would you do if you saw a freezing homeless child in the streets of a city? Some may offer to help the kid; others, like some of the people in this new video, might look the other way and go about their business.
In a new social experiment, titled “The Freezing Homeless Child!” YouTube channel OckTV went out on the streets of New York City to see how strangers would react if they had a little boy disguise himself as a homeless person, Life & Style Weekly notes.
For two hours, the boy sat in the cold, begging for food and money while hundreds of people walk past him. See for yourselves:
The only person to come to the rescue, and offer the child assistance, is an actual homeless man.
According to StandUp For Kids, 39 percent of the homeless population is young people under the age of 18. That number is way too high.
The video has gone viral, garnering more than 3 million views since it was first posted to YouTube on Feb. 23.
