There are a myriad of ways to cook bacon — using a deep fryer, waffle maker or cast iron skillet on top of the stove. But cooking bacon in the oven is the easiest and most convenient way to cook it.
In the clip (below), YouTuber BenjiManTV demonstrates the best way to get your bacon fix.
Just line a baking sheet with foil, then lay the bacon strips flat onto the pan. You can skip the step of preheating the oven, and go ahead and place your bacon right into the oven. Set the temperature to 400 degrees, and set your timer to 16-20 minutes. Transfer the strips of bacon to a paper towel to drain.
“Shazam,” Benji says at one point in the video. “That easy.”
And the great part? No mess or splatter.
For even crispier bacon, online food magazine The Kitchn suggests setting a metal cooling rack over the foil-lined baking sheet and lay the bacon over the rack.
