Fox News Host Pete Hegseth Accidentally Hits Drummer With Ax (Video)

"Fox & Friends" Sunday co-host Pete Hegseth accidentally hit a drummer from West Point’s marching band, Jeff Prosperie, with an ax on June 14.

According to FTVLive.com, Hegseth threw the ax to promote an upcoming segment about Timbersports.

Mediaite notes that Fox News aired video (below) of Hegseth tossing the ax way over a target, Hegseth's shocked reaction and Prosperie holding his arm after the accident.

Prosperie later spoke to Hegseth about the history of the marching band, but neither mentioned the incident.

Prosperie did upload the complete version on Facebook (video below) on June 20, which shows him being struck by the ax.

Prosperie also wrote on Facebook:

"I was hit by an axe while performing a drum solo live on National TV…  words I never imagined saying! This happened last Sunday and I have been reluctant to post but starting to receive inquiries from concerned family and friends. I am thankful to God that the double sided blade only hit broadside on the outer elbow with significant impact and a couple of cuts as it fell along my wrist. It could have been much worse or fatal. Focusing on full physical and emotional recovery."
