Family Feud Answer Leaves Steve Harvey Speechless (Video)

A risque answer on a recent episode of "Family Feud" left host Steve Harvey momentarily speechless (video below).

The question was: "Name something that gets hard when it gets cold." The contestant, whose name is Victor, according to his badge, replied: "I think it might be the Johnson."

According to Yahoo! TV, Harvey simply shook his head.

After a long pause, Harvey asked: "Did you say THE Johnson?"

Victor replied: "The little Johnson."

Answering with a popular euphemism for penis was amusing, but not very accurate. When exposed to cold, the "Johnson" tends to shrink, as memorably expressed in an episode of the show "Seinfeld."

Not surprisingly, when Harvey consulted the survey board, it responded with a big "X" -- indicating that none of the people surveyed agreed with Victor's chosen answer. However, it turns out that there's irony in Victor's answer, considering that his last name is actually Johnson.

Victor and his twin brother, Vincent, along with their parents and Vincent's wife, Wenda, first auditioned for the show in 2013, reports SCNow.

They were chosen to go on the show in 2014, but Wenda and Vincent’s son died in a motorcycle accident soon after, and the trip was canceled. But producers of the show remembered the Johnsons and called them back to film in Atlanta in 2015.

“It was just fun, fun, fun, fun -- the beginning to the end,” Victor's mother, Patricia, said of the experience. “Steve has twin daughters,” she explained. “And [Vincent and Victor] are twins. And [Wenda is] a twin. So that was a thing that was going on for a minute while we were on there -- talking about three sets of twins.”

The "Family Feud" website provides a summary of its popular host:

Steve Harvey is a media conglomerate personified in a man whose career began doing stand-up comedy in the mid-1980s. His success as a stand-up comedian eventually led to a long stint as host of It’s Showtime at the Apollo. His stand-up success has also led to multiple TV shows and movies, serving various roles on some projects acting, hosting, writing and producing, and his career has continued to flourish, becoming a top-rated radio host, entrepreneur, best-selling author, popular game show host on Family Feud, 2013 People’s Choice Award winner as “Favorite New Talk Show Host” for his new daytime show Steve Harvey, and 2013 recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame...

The show's original host was Richard Dawson, who presided from 1976 to 1985, according to his obituary in The New York Times. In addition to his suave British manner, his trademark was kissing all the female guests of the show.

Kissing non-white women drew some viewer complaints, but that didn't stop him. "It’s very important to me that on ‘Family Feud’ I could kiss all people,” he said in a 2010 interview. “I kissed black women daily and nightly on ‘Family Feud’ for 11 years, and the world didn’t come to an end, did it?”
