Daniel Craig was reportedly offered nearly $100 million to play James Bond in two more films.
According to the Daily Mail, MGM presented Craig, who has played the infamous 007 on four occasions since 2006, with a $100 million deal to reprise his role. The offer was slightly less than double the $55 million Craig had reportedly made for the prior four films.
Unfortunately for MGM, the English star was apparently not interested.
In some ways, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Craig famously said just last year that he’d rather “slash my wrists” than return to playing 007. However, he did also add that if he ever returned to the role, it would solely be for the money.
It appears $100 million was not enough money.
Who would you like to see as the next James Bond?
