The U.S. military is getting ready for a gigantic asteroid that could wipe out the entire human race this September, conspiracy theorists claim.
Many bloggers on conspiracy websites have predicted the “end of days” will take place sometime between September 22 and September 28, the Daily Mirror reports.
Jade Helm is a controversial military training exercise that will be taking place across multiple states with more than 1,200 troops participating from July 15 to September 15. While details of the training's purpose are scarce, conspiracy theorists believe it is to prepare the country for the end of the world.
One blogger on the Whistleblower800 website suggested Jade Helm was an “insurance policy” in case riots break out when an asteroid hits.
If we make it to fall, JH will just be a training exercise. If not, Jade Helm will have troops in place to put down what is going to be pandemonium and revolution. For us, even if we don’t live in the inner cities where the riots are bound to begin, the worst part is that we have been set up to be the opposition. The US military will shoot at us, because we will be seen as fools refusing to accept the sacrifices required to save our planet. If those of us with the guns don’t wake up to it now, we are setting ourselves up for imprisonment and slaughter.
Biblical theorists believe the predicted asteroid will bring about the Rapture, a seven-year tribulation period.
But not to worry, NASA says that no large object will destroy our planet anytime soon.
"NASA knows of no asteroid or comet currently on a collision course with Earth, so the probability of a major collision is quite small,” a NASA spokesman said in a statement. “In fact, as best as we can tell, no large object is likely to strike the Earth any time in the next several hundred years.”
What a relief!
Although the Texas State Guard has no authority over U.S. troops, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered the State Guard to keep an eye on the military exercise. Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas has asked the Pentagon about the training.
