Conservatives Upset By Disney's First Gay Cartoon Kiss (Video)

Disney recently aired its first same-sex cartoon kiss, several in fact, during a Disney XD episode of "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" (video below).

Gay and lesbian couples, among others, were shown kissing at a boy band concert on the show, reports HeatStreet.

In response to the episode, the conservative organization One Million Moms expressed outrage on its website:

This is the last place parents would expect their children to be confronted with content regarding sexual orientation. Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and it is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.

Disney has decided to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly entertainment. Disney should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Conservative families need to urge Disney to avoid mature and controversial topics.

One Million Moms also urged people to sign its online petition to Disney: "I do not agree with the LGBT agenda you are pushing on families and children. You will not have my support as long as you continue to veer away from family-friendly entertainment."

The Christian Post notes that several conservatives on Facebook were not happy and voiced their disapproval:

When I was growing up, we didn't have these kind of cartoons. They were simply fun entertainment with no built in sexual agendas. I believe folks ought be focused on something other than sex and their genitals ... and our children's genitals. Disney, you are getting ready to lose a chunk of change!

Hollywood is such a disgusting cesspool. There is nothing beneath them. No morals. No values. No God. These are the same people that praise and award pedophile actors and directors.

Parents I urge you to drop your kids from watching Disney. They're pushing that filth down the kids' throats.

The pro-gay Pink News noted on Feb. 24 that there seemed to be a lack of initial outrage: "The moment was so subtle that it even escaped the notice of America’s puritanical self-appointed TV censors, One Million Moms, but we’ll be sure to update this article with their hysterical condemnation once they realize."

After One Million Moms launched its petition, the pro-gay Queerty tossed in a jab: "It would almost be funny how these people can find evil so often in children’s entertainment -- anything with an inclusive message will do -- if it wasn’t so sad at the core. Many of these folks are raising children with their warped worldviews."
